I'm a commercial operator, entrepreneur and engineer by training. For two decades I've worked where sales, systems and technology meet: closing deals, building businesses and, more recently, putting AI to work where it actually moves revenue.
Most of my work comes back to the same question: how do people, process and technology combine to win business? These are the areas I keep returning to.
Revenue growth, go-to-market and the unglamorous work of building a sales process that holds up when the founder isn't in the room.
Practical AI adoption: finding the steps where deals and time leak away, and building systems that fix them without adding complexity.
Starting, growing and selling companies, from the first customer to the operations and structure that make a business worth acquiring.
The engineering habit of looking at a business as a system, and making sure the tools serve the people using them, not the other way round.
I grew up between North Africa and France and trained as an engineer in Paris, with a degree in physics and a master's in business and communications engineering. That background still shapes how I work: analytical, interested in systems, and focused on how technology turns into commercial outcomes.
My career started in global consulting, running CRM programs for telecoms groups across Europe.
In Australia, my focus moved to smaller businesses: founding them, selling for them and helping them grow. I kept seeing the same thing. Good businesses do the hard work of getting in front of the right buyer, then lose the deal on what happens next.
That's the crossover I work in today: how deals are really won, and how to build the systems, increasingly AI-driven, that help win them.
Independent CRM consultant for IBM Business Consulting Services and Quiksilver Europe, then Capgemini, delivering CRM and billing programs for France Telecom / Orange, Mobistar and Cegetel. Led the international team effort that saved over $2M on Mobistar's CRM upgrade.
Head of Technology at ArborSafe, then founder of Fixo, building the MyMaintenance platform used by 120+ schools. Director of Armour Backups, acquired by Alivate in 2012, and co-founder of TreasuredMems, grown from zero across VIC and NSW and acquired by WR Events in 2017.
Product manager at ArborSafe, a business turning over around $2M a year, through its acquisition by Civica in 2021, then at Civica. Business development consultant for The Empowered Man, bringing in $1.4M in new revenue in 12 months. Head of Business Development at Devinium, and growth hacker at CaptainSales, building sales and prospecting engines for start-ups and scale-ups.
Sales and AI consulting with 121 Group, where my work has contributed to around $1.2M in revenue. Founder and director of Blueprint Automations, building AI systems that make sure no lead or follow-up slips through the cracks.
"AI won't fix a broken sales process. It will just break it faster. Get the selling right first, then automate what's working."— Boris Desmond

My current venture. AI workflow automation for small businesses: faster responses to every lead, follow-ups that never slip, and more five-star reviews, without adding headcount.

The perspective I bring is that of someone who has sold for a living, built and sold businesses, and is now building with AI day to day.
Speaking invitations, podcasts, partnerships, ventures worth exploring, or simply a good question about sales and AI. If you think there's something worth talking about, I'd like to hear from you.
I read every message personally.
